Relax, you’re not going to master the rest of your life in one day

Scroll through Amazon or walk around the self-help or self improvement section at Barnes and Noble and it will be easy for you to think you’re supposed to get your life together overnight. Or at least after reading the current best seller from the world famous life coach.

But that’s not how it works. Getting your life under control and moving in the right direction is a process. It’s a series of new habits and new ways of thinking. Developing new habits and changing the way you’ve always thought takes time.

That’s not what a guy sees on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter. All he sees is other men living the life he’s trying to live with no stumbles or false starts.

When a guy sees that he thinks he’s a failure because he’s constantly taking 2 steps forward then one step back. The more he thinks about it, the more he pressure he puts on himself.

Here’s what I want you to know, you’re not going to master the rest of your life in one day.

So Relax.

Focus on today. Your daily goal should be 1% improvement. In how your spend your time and money. In how you live out the three pillars of the Gentleman Way of Life:

Do What’s Right

Do Your Best

Put Others First

Before you go to bed review your day and honestly evaluate how you did.  Based on that evaluation you’re going to sleep with one of these two thoughts

Tomorrow’s another day

Or

Rinse Repeat

Keep doing this day after day and pretty soon you’ll realize how much progress you’ve made.
