Best Advice I Ever Got

Opinions are like your choice of one of two parts of the human anatomy that everybody has and one way those opinions get expressed is in advice.

Now, some advice is just not very good. My favorite advice is the kind that comes from the guy that is a looser in the area he’s giving you advice on. For example, the guy who is up to his neck in debt, has no savings but he’s going to tell me how manage money. No thanks. But some advice is golden. So good in fact that it’s immediately cemented into your mind the first time you hear it. Here’s some of the best advice I’ve ever gotten.

1. Buy land, they ain’t making any more of it.

2. When it comes to buying stock, invest in what you know and products you use.

3. Sleep on big decisions.

4. You don’t have to attend every argument you’re invited to.

5. If it flies or floats, rent it don’t buy it.

6. Avoid partnerships whenever possible. If you can’t afford to do it or buy it on your own, you probably shouldn’t.

7. If you can’t make a living working 6 days a week, you need to find another line of work.

8. Tell the truth, it’s the easiest thing to remember.

9. It’s tacky to ask somebody how much they make.

10. Never hit a girl.

That’s a few of mine but I’d like to hear some of yours. Leave a comment with the best advice you ever got.
